Just to clarify 🚨
Bernardo Silva offered himself to Barcelona multiple times over the last two months. Every time, Barcelona postponed the deal because he was seen as a backup option rather than a guaranteed starter, and the club prioritized signing a winger, striker, and defender ahead of him.
Just a week ago, Bernardo turned down a lucrative offer from Atlético Madrid and accepted a lower salary proposal from Barcelona. Despite that, he kept waiting for Barça to finalize the move, only to receive the same response once again: “You have to wait.”
Hansi Flick was never fully convinced by the signing from the start, and the club never treated it with the same importance as its other transfer targets.
So to the Real Madrid fans celebrating this, it’s another example of Madrid chasing a player Barcelona weren’t prioritizing. Another Barça reject that Madrid now want to sign.
Please spare us & stop this obsession 😉
