The challenges in the urban areas can be addressed by improving the rural areas. Challenges characterizing the urban landscape are attributed to rural-urban migration which is mainly driven by the desire to have better access to basic services and economic opportunities.

South Africa, 14th biggest emitter, is falling behind on its bold climate commitments, according to a new report. Despite strong pledges, the country is moving too slowly to phase out coal & scale up renewables. Experts say a 6x increase in renewables is needed to meet targets.

The Greening Kuwadzana Project is not a youth movement. The climate crisis that the globe is facing needs a holistic approach. So the mvt is for infants, girls, boys, women, men, senior citizens, the disabled etc. So it's not a youth movement, it is just driven by young people

The second edition of Dance For Climate Action in Kuwadzana was a resounding success! We were thrilled to see such a diverse group of young people come together to express their passion for the environment through dance. The energy was electric, and the talent was undeniable. A special mention goes to the three winning groups, whose performances were truly exceptional. One group captivated the audience with their theatrical contemporary dance, while another duo challenged societal norms with their bold cross-dressing performance. These young people are not only talented artists but also potential changemakers in their communities. We extend our sincere gratitude to @ActionAidZim , @gp_zim @KuwadzanaPress , @CANZIM11 , House of Arts Association, Black Crystal Consulting, @letsgreenthefu1 and Missions Miracle Trust for their invaluable support. Together, we can create a brighter, greener future. #DanceForClimateAction

We cannot afford to ignore any potential low-cost strategies which might improve survival and mitigate property and human life losses The aim should be to seek the best of both worlds, modern and traditional approaches, IKS #ClimateJustice
Replying to @diana_harawa
@diana_harawa "#ClimateChange Management Bill must centrally involve communities and leverage Indigenous Knowledge Systems (IKS). We can't afford to lose this critical perspective in #climate solutions. @MagambaNetwork @JoanaMamombe @sisonkeproject #ClimateLegislation

For #Zimbabwe’s stateless, everyday life is filled with obstacles. Accessing education, healthcare and employment can be a nightmare, and the sense of exclusion and rejection is soul destroying. This is Elizabeth's story. #EndStatelessness

Matobo's disability advocates are working to educate the community on what it means to be disabled. Given Ndlovu highlights that one's disability can be observed when they encounter a barrier that hinders the individual from performing an act or accessing a service or an area.
