Layoffs are sometimes necessary for a business. What's also necessary is to understand the impact of layoffs on affected people's lives and act with the highest empathy possible. That's why I feel sad today. #TwitterLayoffs
I am excited to announce that I have joined @wise as an Engineering Director! As an expat, international money management is a problem close to my heart. I’m grateful to Wise for having offered me the opportunity to become a Wiser and to help make money without borders happen!
After a very much needed month off, tomorrow's time to start a new work adventure. Looking forward to make more impact on people like myself in helping them sending money abroad, and not only that!
The top 10 predictors of successful engineering careers.
I've helped hire 100s of engineers in my 12 year career. I've managed and steered the careers of multiple engineering teams.
Some of these may surprise you, but I am confident they predict career success in our industry.

This week @GergelyOrosz newsletter has been spot on. I have worked as a VPE/CTO for many years in a scaleup with a non technical CEO and I wish I learnt lots of these things before. Also I didn’t know @prla before! This is great content. Thanks Greg and Paulo.
This week's The Pragmatic Engineer dives into how to work with a non-technical CEO when you're a VP of Engineering, CTO or an engineering manager at a startup.
Written by @prla who mentors engineering leaders, many of whom have the same question.

@British_Airways I've sent a complaint more than 2 weeks ago and haven't heard anything back. What's your current turnaround time to address complaint please?
@British_Airways you still haven’t got back to me and it’s now 10 days. I’m an executive club member. This is not the standard I would have expected from you?
How to become 1% better at Product Management everyday:
1. Meet and network with other PMs
2. Install new apps and understand UX/metrics
3. Spend 1 hour everyday on industry reports
4. Learn things unrelated to PM, widen your horizons
5. Spend 10 hours per month on up-skilling
Day 5. I feel lucky that for me it has been no worse than a cold, no temperature but muscle soreness and fatigue. That said, definitely my triple jab helped. Get vaccinated and stay safe! #GetBoosted#selfisolation
