These 2 wonderful #SoCal #dogs have been in #LosAngeles County shelters since Sep/Oct 2020๐ณ They could have been in furever homes MONTHS ago if #doglovers had stepped up to #FOSTER 4 rescue. Thread โฌ is for potential #CA fosters.

๐จLast call for Gabby, out of chances & under kill command. Just 2-y/o, arrived early May whale-eyed & trembling, spent time w/ finder who said she was very gentle & was friendly w/ cats. She has made huge improvements at ACC but still made the list. Timid, sensitive, mellow, housetrained, asks for attn, walks well on a leash, knows basic cues. She is doing her best even though she is very scared. Loves hot dogs.

NYCACC killed these beautiful pups todayโฆTโChalla, Nina, Canela & Chulo are gone, killed for what? For space? For ridiculous behavior ratings? For medical? This outfit is out of control with Silent Kills, Silent Kill Commands, and other absurdities! Their every action, a slap in the face to those trying to advocate for them, to enlighten people to their truths, to tell their storiesโฆ.No advocate can keep up this paceโฆwe are operating as Sisyphus forever pushing that boulder up the hillโฆmaking a few forward strides, then faltering, backwards & the entire time a vicious raptor tearing flesh & tendonโฆ.This is not sustainable at the level of killingโฆ.
What did sweet gorgeous puppy TโChalla do to get ๐ or full if life Nina, or Canela who had no clue his life would end, or Chulo, (a Spanish endearment for โCutieโ) is so confused (just look into his eyes ๐ญ)
That said, Iโm distraught, disgusted & disillusionedโฆitโs getting worse not better and I fail to see how Iโm helping these beautiful beings who deserve more than thisโฆthis nightly spectacle of slaughterโฆ.

Every death at NYCACC makes me ill, and it's constant. Day after day. It's unimaginable that so many good potential companion animals are gone just like that.
