I need help finding my brother - OLUWATOYIN MAKINDE💔🙏🏾 Family is everything to me and my heart just continues to ache for a brother I haven’t seen in nearly 17 years. I have exhausted personal and private attempts. Now, I’d like to lean on community support with so much hope.

Nasarawa and Cross River may have a quiet friend in Nevada, United States. The bond? Baryte. With Federal Government coordination, host state readiness and community benefit, Azara in Awe LGA and Alifokpa in Yala LGA could gain visibility, jobs and shared prosperity. Which Nigerian mineral community should get the next spotlight?

PRESS RELEASE   NIGERIA POLICE FORCE CONFIRMS SAFE RESCUE OF ABDUCTED WOMAN AND HER TWIN SONS   The Nigeria Police Force announces the successful rescue of Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul and her 12-year-old twin sons, Peter and Paul, who were abducted on June 3, 2026, in Ibadan, Oyo State.   The hostages were rescued during a coordinated operation by the Force Intelligence Department Intelligence Response Team (FID-IRT) in Ibadan at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2026. Mrs. Adegoke and her children were abducted while she was driving them to school at about 7:30 a.m. on June 3, 2026.   The rescue was achieved through sustained intelligence gathering, surveillance, and tactical operations. These efforts enabled investigators to track the kidnappers’ movements, resulting in a confrontation with FID-IRT operatives.   During the confrontation, two suspected kidnappers were fatally wounded and two rifles were recovered. The victims were rescued unharmed and are now in safe custody, receiving medical care and support.   The Inspector-General of Police commends the courage, professionalism, and effectiveness of the FID-IRT operatives and all officers involved. Their resilience and commitment were instrumental in the safe rescue of the hostages.   Security operatives have intensified efforts in the area to apprehend fleeing members of the kidnapping syndicate. Preliminary intelligence indicates that some suspects escaped with gunshot injuries. Operations are ongoing to track, arrest, and bring all involved to justice.   The Nigeria Police Force appreciates the public’s support, cooperation, and patience during the operation. We remain committed to combating violent crime, protecting lives and property, and ensuring the safety of all citizens. RE: ARREST OF PROFESSOR OKEY NDIBE- SETTING THE RECORDS STRAIGHT The Department of State Services (DSS) hereby clarifies that, it did not arrest or detain Prof Okey Ndibe at Murtala Muhammed International Airport on June 1, 2026 or any other place on that date for that matter. The current DG of the Service, upon assumption of duty, directed a review of old Watch-List Actions (WLAs), some of which date back to the Military Era. This is to ensure that citizens are not unduly embarrassed due to pre-existing WLAs. In this regard, all those who had previously been watchlisted while on transit, are routinely interfaced with as a prerequisite for a review and possible downgrade of the Action. This, being a precursor to a final delisting in accordance with international best practices. It is pertinent to state that the foregoing process is aimed at ensuring that before the final delisting, that activities, travel histories as well as current activities of these individuals are not in furtherance of and do not still conform with the reasons for the initial WLA. Suffice to point out that since the inception of the current Management , many Nigerians, including journalists have benefited from this process. This is despite the fact that the Service conducts this clearance to take care of Watch List requests from other Agencies. A case in point is that of Mr Lanre Arogundade, Executive Director of the International Press Centre, IPC, whose delisting was approved in May 2025, after over a decade on the Watchlist. In the same vein, Prof Ndibe has been on Watchlist since January 29, 2013. Meanwhile, his case has been reviewed and downgraded. Thus, the interface with him at the airport, was geared towards the final delisting of his details from the Action. As part of the routine interface involved in the process, after barely an hour of his interaction with the Service, he was cleared and escorted. Note that, even on his Facebook post, he referenced the professional, courteous and decorous conduct of Service operatives, who continue to scale their respect for the rule of law and human rights under the new Leadership. The Service reiterates that this process will continue to ensure that all Nigerians are fairly treated, with due regard to the provisions of the Law. The DSS therefore urges citizens affected by the Service WLA, who wish, to formally report same to the National Headquarters to facilitate ongoing process. However, regardless of any formal request, the attempt at hygiene regarding the WLA, will be sustained. Our parents made tremendous sacrifices to complement the Law Enforcement Agencies in ensuring safe neighbourhoods while we grew. Are today’s adults/parents leaving this out of the options? Up until 2008, these items (plus some volumes of acid at strategic locations in the compound) were daily essentials for us. Landlords on our street had timetable for night patrols. Dad spent every Xmas and New Year eve under one of the cashew trees in the compound, battle ready for any unwanted guest. I recall always accompanying him to Ekiti State Police HQ to renew his firearms licence. You are done for, if he visited your room at night and finds you snoozing or without your Torchlight, Iron rod and Cutlass (the bare minimum). In his words, “Should I go for overnight church program and meet my home empty? The rest of you can go worship in Iyin. That helps me minimize any potential casualties. I will not abandon my home for who has not laboured with me. I’d instead make appropriate provisions for whoever wishes me half full” Those who grew up in and around Adebayo - Oriire Hospital- Mojere Market - Jimoh Aliyu - Nova Sec Schl - Basiri areas of Ado Ekiti would remember the uptick in armed robberies and cultism at the time. If neighbours were that united to eradicate theft and cultism, I think a similar or elevated approach would help a great deal with recent security concerns. I believe you are your first line of defence. You need to stay alive first to be able to call the police for help. Please, consider every legal tool including applying (if eligible) for firearms license here npf.gov.ng/news/details/20 May Nigeria 🇳🇬 succeed 🙏

7 utility pigeons is estimated to cost me about $2,045 plus ~$45/month on feeds, supplements and Bedding. Loft Aviary to contain and keep them safe through -30°C or lower winter temperatures, is the biggest cost driver at about $1,580. There’s still that bond and amazing views while I fed them with my Dad as a kid. Sadly, they all left home and never returned since the day my Dad passed. With a family meeting, it’s certain to be 3 votes against mine. The kids love dogs🥱 Beyond the finance, how do I convince my wife that it’s going to be my amazing Ẹyẹlé over her potential dogs?🤔

I would ban motorcycles across the country and you become an enemy of the state if caught with one. The videos I see online shows that they mostly travel on bikes to perpetuate their evil. Sadly, many of us rely on the use of motorcycles for survival in one form or another. Nigeria 🇳🇬 will overcome this problem 🙏
