Second cut gathered up in may 4 weeks after first cut. Already at more silage than the last two years with quality well up. Second cut yields just ok but chasing quality and attempting to cut cost

These lads and lasses are rocking and rolling at 98 days on farm, 1.79dlwg. It’s just a shame that they’ll still be absolutely bloody useless when the supermarkets don’t want to sell them. Unfortunately farming doesn’t just switch off and they know it

Bloody livestock using up what humans waste and turning it into more nutritious food for us to consume

Supermarkets are literally not trying to sell the product we produce over pricing it creating lack of demand and selling foreign. Animal values have dropped hundreds of pounds which the farmer has to stand whilst the price has barely shifted in the supermarkets.
Come on @Morrisons what are you playing about at ??? you’re pushing back our deliveries of prime angus cattle to your spalding processing plant ! you’ve had hardly any decent joints of beef on the shelves now for a while and now this !! AUSTRALIA under a british flag😤😤

Maize prep underway. Forage rye that’s been grazed all back end and done us a real turn after cover crop failure due to no moisture. Drilling directly in this. Lets see how it goes

Proper day for it with the weather turning a corner and making lambing a lot more pleasurable. This lot have a fair shine on now too after a long old winter. Hopefully the straw usage will ease up now !!

A draw of heifers and bullocks finish the week. Heifers full of meat but the bullocks are the last the poorer dooers from a couple of pens that have left. You don’t win them all

The addiction got fed. Fresh store cattle in. They will be dosed, vaccinated and then left quiet to minimise any stress particularly with the weather being changeable to keep potential pneumonia at bay.

Relevant to every aspect of ag. Beef, dairy, cereals you name it. Fewer and fewer hands control the whole industry and milk it dry.
John Deere got this video taken off our YouTube channel for two weeks. It took our lawyers reaching out to YouTube to get it back up. The video lays out how a handful of corporations took control of the entire agriculture industry, bankrupting farmers and screwing over America.

The last purchases of 2025 put through the race vaccinated tagged and wormed. Not a bad bunch to finish on.

The last pull before a steadier Christmas week but I dare say not the final pull of the year. Plenty of weight and flesh about just when you could do with them slowing up.

Very much a case of when’s the next chance we get to lift, when’s it going to be dry enough and how long can we manage feed stocks along with some poor quality silage aswell. Fodder beet is a go !

More grass than we’ve had all year says alot for 2025. This is only the 3rd cut and we are taking it in mid oct and it’s certainly not worth opening the comp for so bales it is.

Making the most of potatoe stores needing to be emptied so that new crop can be harvested and stored. The other option for these potatoes was to be dumped and wasted. Into the cattle they go to be recycled and turned into quality protein

Wheat going in a treat after maize this time. It’s just had a pass with the subsoiler to sort out and compaction.
