I get to read and discuss these books with high school students. None of these are required books for classes I was teaching; instead, some students simply wanted to think more deeply.
This is why I love teaching (even in the summer). High school students digging into principled pluralism & convicted civility. Many are tempted toward despair thinking about the future of politics & faith. I think there’s hope.
