Interesting to find today that 653 AOP Squadron CO, Maj Tetley Ironside Tetley-Jones, was responsible for bringing the idea of tea bags to the UK & inherited the Tetley company aged 25. He was based at RAF Old Sarum from August 1941 & took over as 653 AOP Sqn CO in June 1942.
#DidYouKnow In 1953, @tetleyuk introduced tea bags in the UK. The company’s British representative, T I Tetley-Jones, had visited America in 1939, and brought back the idea of the teabag

Tonight, as he left, a chap (who I don’t know) said ‘Thank you for everything you’ve done with the COVID stuff. Lovely pub, and I’ve felt completely safe tonight. Thank you.’ I can’t tell you how much those words mean. We should all do more of this #kindness #gratitude #Thanks

My grandson, Logan's, last smile for me ❤ it makes me infinitely sad, mad & fills me with such love & longing that things were different & he was still here. He died c36 hours after... they weren't easy hours - a 3 yo's heart expects to keep going for 70/80 yrs😔 This is #DIPG

I unashamedly repeat: shot & critically wounded in Afghanistan, the first man to help me was Fijian, the second was Ghanaian, Brits called in a US chopper whilst suppressing the enemy & the HLS was flanked by Afghans. Colours, creeds, backgrounds - never an issue: all my brothers
Beyond the labels we give each other, there is a connection that brings us together. We are all unique and we are united. We are the British Army. #NationalInclusionWeek
