I’ve seen people get some great results with this strategy. I’ve been using Mental Transitioning myself since the 90s, great way to create a sense of clarity and motivation #Founders #procrastination #motivation

Watched Brats yesterday by @AndrewTMcCarthy This brought up a lot for me and left me thinking about my own journey. in '85 the Brat Pack were who we wanted to be. As a kid from Aberdeen, I didn't even know about the article (I actually didn’t until watching this). For us, it was just a cool name that represented being different, standing out, and being able to overcome obstacles and achieve our dreams. After reading the article I can see why it had the impact it did. It made me think about all the movies that were never made. It also got me thinking about where I’ve succeeded in my own life and those ‘what could have been moments’. Ultimately one belief I’ve had over the years is that ‘regret’ is a futile emotion, it doesn’t serve. We are who we are because of who we’ve been. And… it’s never too late to live your dreams. The Breakfast Club, St Elmo’s Fire, Pretty in Pink and the rest, inspired a generation. Oh, I always felt like ‘ducky’ (I know he was Brat Pack adjacent 😁) Thanks for making this @AndrewTMcCarthy

There's one thing AI can't do. Can you guesss what it is? If you're a leader of a team, it's a skill you want to brush up on if you want to increase engagement and productivity... Real listening. 🤖👂 I'm talking about genuine human connection that makes someone feel heard.

Do you think you're a good listener? Learning how to listen, I mean ‘really’ listen, changed the game for me. It positively impacts all aspects of your life, be that business, relationships and personal growth (the last one is about really listening to yourself). Beyond active listening… 👂 Deep Listening: ➡️ Mindset: See through the eyes of the person in front of you. Immerse yourself in the other person's perspective. If you're a leader, it's essential. ➡️ Facts, Feelings, Intentions: Listen to what’s being said, but go beyond the words. Pay attention to the feelings you observe and any intentions you pick up. Often what’s being said isn’t what’s being said. ➡️ Sideline Your Agenda: Get outside of your own head. Put your personal goals on pause to genuinely focus on what the other person is saying. What do they want and need, and how are they trying to meet those needs? 🚀 The Benefits: ➡️ Feeling Heard: When people feel heard, trust and connection are built. ➡️ Better Leadership: As a leader, understanding your team at a deep level opens doors for customised development opportunities. ➡️ Increased Commitment: When people feel truly listened to, they're more likely to stay engaged and committed to tasks. If you want to have a greater impact, practice this for yourself and share it with your team. 🔥 Action: For your next conversation, consciously practice Deep Listening. Remember, it’s a skill, so to get good, practice = progress. You might be surprised at how much you've been missing.
