We just had the Joey Volchko legacy game. The RHP gave Georgia a CG four-hitter with 15 Ks and 1 walk as Georgia wins 7-1. Texas committed three errors that led to five unearned runs.

Oklahoma is a wagon. The Sooners continue to roll through the competition winning their CWS opener 9-0 over Alabama. Starter Cord Rager allowed three hits in his seven dominant innings. Deiten LaChance had two hits including a homer to lead the OU lineup.

Oklahoma takes a 5-0 lead in the 6th on a two-run blast to left by Deiten LaChance, whose stretch-run power surge just keeps on keepin' on. He didn't hit his first home run until April 9, and now he has 16 on the season.

Cord Rager is cruising through 4. Unlike yesterday when Ole Miss's Patrick Rabe was dominant, North Carolina forced him to throw a lot of pitches early. Rager is at an efficent 46 pitches through four pitches.

Your man "Sauce" Healy is writing lead on this here Oklahoma-Bama game, so follow @JoeHealyD1 for updates. But I think it's fair to say that Cord Rager looks, uh, really really good early on for the Sooners. The freshman has 4 K thru 2 hitless. Sitting 94-95, the slider is real.
