I went for a haircut at a new barber shop near my house.
They always ask me how I want my cut and I always explain it with great detail, I show them my pinterest board with similar haircuts that I like in hopes they get me something similar.
But they always do whatever the hell they want, and I never get it remotely similar to what I wanted. I always leave sad, just waiting for it to grow back before this happens again in my next visit.
This time I told the hairdresser: "just cut it however you want I don't care, you have free creative will here". No instructions, no references, no pinterest board. They guy saw me like he couldn't believe it, he even asked me twice if I was sure about it. I confirmed.
30 minutes later, I saw me in the mirror. I couldn't believe it now. This is the better haircut I have gotten in years!
I pay the receptionist, I tipped the guy, and went home... Happy.
