Finally on my third attempt caught a Silurian in the Black Mountains (VC42 ) just the one, and it was the last moth from the last trap but very welcome. With @dartfordtrapper
It was very windy on the Great Orme yesterday but @dartfordtrapper and I still managed to find Silver Studded Blues, Great Orme Cotoneaster, Feral Goats, Chough and Spotted Cat’s Ear.
Yesterday was excellent, A trip to North Wales with @dartfordtrapper great views of the Western Reef Heron, Woodchat shrike, Black Guillemots, Manx Shearwaters and plenty more birds
Very tricky moth trapping conditions on the Isle of Wight (VC10) on Saturday night but a couple of battery traps produced 39 Species was ok considering. Nothing of real note but the Fern was nice
Plenty of day flying insects during some weather windows on the Isle of Wight at the weekend Glanville Fritillary, Common blue, Yellow banded Longhorn Moth, Hummingbird hawkmoth of note
Finally caught up with Boat bug on the Isle of Wight at the weekend, and despite the rather tricky weather conditions there were plenty of other shieldbugs as well - Crucifer, Ornate, Hairy, Green and Dock bug.
