CAUTION: hard truth most leaders avoid👇 The biggest barrier to your church’s growth might be you. Not your heart. Not your calling. But your awareness. When you don’t see your blind spots, your communication suffers. You over-explain or under-explain. You assume too much. You miss what your community actually needs to hear. Self-awareness is not weakness. It is leadership. Healthy churches are led by leaders who are willing to ask, “How am I really coming across?” Be known for something… not by accident, but by intention. 👉🏻 You may need a Secret Shopper visit. We expose your blind spots 😎 (Summer is a great time to hire us for this)

You can be: - posting constantly - promoting every event - updating your website weekly …and still feel stuck. Because activity isn’t the same as clarity. Clarity simplifies everything: - what you say - what you promote - what people remember #BeKnownForSomething

Unchurched people are not looking for a church service. They’re wrestling with real life. Communicate a solution or risk being ignored. 🛑 Stop advertising a service. Start offering solutions to real life. Jesus will/should come up in the conversation!

2011 TV Commercial throwback for a national bank. We rehearsed this walk for a long time. Embarrassingly long. For the camera. So I didn’t trip. So it was timed properly for the pace of the ad jingle. You can see the number of people around us. Not pictured: stylists, makeup, grips, and countless others. Nothing is as easy as it looks. Remember that. Everything worth doing is worth doing right. #lifeofanactor

I’d rather be known for Jesus than for a local church. Only One saves you. However, the other one can point to the Savior! #BeKnownForSomething

It’s still the Cross. What if you posted pictures of members loving/serving/being in the community (to form the cross)!? The Gospel in action. Change it regularly, call people to the Cross. The Cross changes priorities. #churchwall #takeupyourcross

You can’t Be Known For Something if you’re trying to be known for everything. Clarity is crucial. The world is full of unclear. And that noise is ignored. #sbc26 #churchclarity

No logo without a why. A logo can’t fix confusion. A color palette can’t define mission. A redesign won’t save unclear communication. Before visuals, you need vision. Before design, you need direction. When your “why” is clear, design becomes a servant, not a savior. Branding isn’t about looking bigger. It’s about being understood. Clarity is everything.

Can you explain your church’s unique relevance in 1 sentence? “If people are confused, they’re not coming to your church. If they’re clear, they’ll bring friends.” ⚠️⚠️⚠️ Confused churches keep adding more programs, more events, and more announcements, hoping something will finally connect. But people don’t ignore churches because they aren’t busy. They ignore churches because they aren’t clear. If someone can’t explain why your church matters in a single sentence, they won’t remember you. And if they don’t remember you, they won’t invite others. Confused churches stay small. Clear ones grow. Growth doesn’t begin with a bigger budget, a better website, or more social media posts. It begins when your church becomes known for something.

Be known for targeting more than diversifying. Do too much, and you’ll end up reaching less. #BeKnownForSomething

People see the books, conferences, and nearly 1,000 articles. What they don’t see are the 1,600-mile move, 16-year immigration journey, rebuilding from scratch multiple times, and years spent explaining why church branding isn’t about marketing... it’s about clarity.
