I'm excited to share that my book, Life at the Speed of Play, will be out in June. I've spent the last 5 years writing so I can share my lessons and stories around building products and scaling companies.

How does this make any sense at all? Elon has taken more risks and produced more innovations than any entrepreneur in history. How is that a rigged system? All you have to do is build a rocket that can launch and land and you get this trillion dollar windfall for free!
Americans are struggling to pay for groceries and gas while Elon Musk becomes a TRILLIONAIRE. When the federal government is for sale, the rich get richer and everyone else gets shafted. The system is rigged.

Your job as founder is to convince your teams to walk off cliffs. At Zynga it became nearly impossible to get our teams to pursue big new ideas in our live games. For good reason - our GMs always chose incremental features with guaranteed results (which I called mouse nuts) over bold unproven ideas that were likely to fail.  But once a big idea was proven, everyone across the company would implement it immediately.  My CTO (and long time collaborator) @CadirLee called this the Penguin Effect.  As a founder, our job is to convince one Penguin to jump first. The trick is inspiring your team to do it in the right way - with big potential but limited impact if it goes wrong.  Wrote about it in my new book, out june 23: lifeatthespeedofplay.com

The IDF continues to destroy Hezbollah tunnels in Lebanon. Just like Hamas in Gaza, they have built underground terror tunnels so they can one day kidnap and murder Jews, just as Gazans did on October 7. Israel will destroy them all.

I’ve spent my life trying to make the perfect bolognese. Breakout product makers have great taste. They bring a strong pov on quality. Product makers who don’t use and deeply understand their own products are like chefs who don’t eat their own cooking.  Recently I got to spend half a day in the @FlourandWater test kitchen perfecting my recipe. They gave me a couple of strong tips:  1) focus on the fond – the crusty brown bits at the bottom of the pan after you cook your meat. Gives your bolognese a more complex and savory flavor. You can use red wine to deglaze it before adding to your sauce. 2) You can shock your sauce with vinegar if it tastes flat. You can find my recipe in my new book out june 23. lifeatthespeedofplay.com/

The key is to keep the sweet taste at bay. Carrots ruin it! Also forget celery. And add tons of button mushrooms. They absorb the sauce and become the best part.

They say: “Show me proof of election fraud in Los Angeles” “Ok, here you go!”
🚨Los Angeles Election Fraud Caught on Hidden Camera LA election petitioners were caught on tape giving homeless individuals other voters' information, instructing them to forge voter names and signatures, and offering cash and drugs as incentives to register to vote.

Whether its voter fraud or legal harvesting it is still subverting the will of the people. The Dems have a corrupt machine that is no different than early 1900s Tammany Hall era.
Nithya Raman already gave a concession speech. Think about that. Not even she believed it was possible to make the top 2. But greedy machine Dems are still pumping her fake votes to get Spencer out of the top 2. Insane levels of fraud.

Reminder that Chinese spy Christine Fang (Fang Fang) worked for Ro Khanna’s 2014 congressional campaign. This is why Ro has never commented publicly on the matter and why he opposes the FBI releasing the entirety of the Fang Fang files. He’s all over them.

Another top growth investor held up the palm pre (which he had backed) and said this is the future and if youre games arent on this we wont be investing. I just stared down at my shoe wondering how such mis guided people are allowed to manage so much money.
A junior partner at a top vc told me he was worried i wasnt coachable. I said, i dont see what you can teach me given youve never founded or run a successful company.

During a pitch a prominent VC once told us the market size for global logistics was only $6B. My CFO’s response: “So you’re saying it’s smaller than the market for USB cables?”

Its funny to see Bloomberg announce tech companies announcing most job cuts (38k) since 2025 and burry in the story they have added far more (122k) than theyre cutting.

It’s crazy to think that soon snarky press will have to refer to @elonmusk as ‘trillionaire’ instead of billionaire.

In 2007 i pitched an enterprise vc firm on Zynga (bc no firm wanted to back us) and the partner fell asleep. I looked at my friend who set up the meeting and asked if i should keep presenting and she said yes. It was ‘weekend at bernies’ meets Silicon Valley.
In 2001 I intercepted a partner at a VC who was trying to escape his office before our meeting was supposed to start. I ended up pitching him in his parked Lexus from the passenger seat. At one point he grabbed my laptop placed on his large belly which was pressed against the steering wheel and rapidly flipped through the slides himself. 2001 fundraising hit different

PROVEN BETTER NEW Too many founders fail for the wrong reasons. They try to make every feature new and end up with most of them worse - instead of isolating their one innovation and copying everything else from what's already proven to work. Proven Better New is a framework for failing for the RIGHT reasons. Fail fast on the one bet that matters. Don't lose time and users over stuff that already works. I remember at Zynga having real fear when we heard Sid Meier was developing a social Civilization game. And then when EA announced SimCity Social.  Both times our PMs called the games DOA within an hour of launch. Why? They didn't copy our onboarding (FTUE), which was already proven to work. Instead, they used standard game industry tutorial flows. Nobody ever saw their innovations. Our PMs knew that any hyper-casual busy adult audience would give up by the 3rd click.  Shilling my new book, out June 23rd: lifeatthespeedofplay.com

We’re open-sourcing Stem Studio, our 3JS game engine today. This is a browser-based 3D multiplayer game engine and dev studio based on the idea that game dev should become more open, remixable, and web-native. AI will make it easier to create games. But shared building blocks will make it easier for developers to build on top of each other. Stem Studio is MIT licensed, JavaScript-based, and built for browser multiplayer 3D worlds. Code is here: buildwithstem.com Fork it, break it, remix it, and show us what you make.

The antisemitic UN Secretary-General has added Israel to the black list alongside terrorist organizations based on false accusations that Israel uses trained dogs to rape Muslim terrorists in its prisons. Despite Israel inviting UN officials, opening the prisons, and providing full responses and evidence against every single fabricated claim, the UN ignored everything and refused to investigate. Instead it rushed to slap the Jewish state on the blacklist purely to please Arab-Islamic countries and Europe, which are actively pushing Nazi-style demonization of Israel. This is not incompetence. This is deliberate blood libel in the 21st century. The UN, under Guterres, has once again proven it serves the interests of the worst human rights violators on Earth — regimes that stone women, execute gays, enslave non-Muslims, and fund global jihad — while inventing the most grotesque lies against the only democracy in the Middle East that actually protects human rights.

Miracles do indeed happen 🤭 A young German female activist from the latest Gaza flotilla was filmed by media in a neck-brace with her face looking “bruised and battered”, her expression tearful and “traumatized” after being held for a few hours in Israel. But then…. The Miracle 🤣 Just a couple of hours later, the same young German female activist was filmed perfectly fine, bouncing around, smiling and cheering… no bruises, no marks, no neck-brace, no injuries, no anything in fact. It is simply incredible the superhuman powers of recovery she showed. Even Wolverine and the X-Men would be jealous 😂
