Spotted a #wheat field 5 miles North of Moundridge Kansas that has been harvested. First I've seen this year.
Maybe about the furthest North too at this time?
The Indy 500 is cool, but so high tech it feels disconnected to the common spectator.
I'd like to see new, stock, straight off the dealer lot, fairly matched vehicles, race for 500 miles.
That would be entertaining.
Think this will work? In an attempt to slow the blowing soil along the tree line I put up a snow fence this afternoon. Haven't tried this before.
It's pretty dry out here.
Wheat Geography Lesson 🌾📍

🇺🇸U.S. winter wheat conditions unexpectedly dropped to 28% good-to-excellent as of Sunday, the date's lowest reading in 30 years.
U.S. corn and soybean planting remained ahead of average pace, with progress slightly topping analyst expectations.
7 day rain chance...
Not sure how the trying to emerge #soybeans will do. Planted into fair moisture late april/early may, 1.75 inch deep, no rain since. Up coming week of upper 80s and low 90s will zap what moisture is left quick.
Some are up, others trying, not great.
About .5 inch rain since my last post about #wheat.
To to guy who had the spray plane going last week, you win the award for most optimistic of the month.
