A single filter for road runoff aided the return of trout to the Wandle after 90 years, yet no agency is monitoring road runoff, not the EA, not National Highways, not councils, so it's not included in any River Basin Management Plans. @stormwater_jo

In response to these findings, @SE_Rivers_Trust installed a hydrodynamic vortex chamber near the guilty road runoff outfall, to filter the pollution. Results came quickly - within a year, 67 juvenile trout were found in the Wandle after a 90 year absence. 3/3
