I believe that West Virginia's crowd has been the best crowd the whole weekend. The UNC crowd has been really good, too.
Do not buy into this "SEC crowd" hype here in Omaha.
As he has before every start since his no-hitter against Florida in March, Tyler Fay enjoyed a sushi meal before the game. theindependent.com/sports/co…
Former #Huskers assistant coach George Darlington passed away in Lincoln on Sunday morning at age 87.
Nebraska Athletics put out a release mourning the loss of the long-time assistant from 1973 to 2002. He was a constant at practices and games in all the years after too.
George Darlington has died at the age of 87, Nebraska Athletics announced this afternoon.
An assistant coach for 30 seasons, but he never really retired from being around Nebraska football. He was a mainstay around the program up until the end.
Rest in peace, George.
Here in Omaha, the Alabama team bus just arrived at Charles Schwab Field.
Starting pitcher Tyler Fay got the loudest ovation, with dozens of friends and family making the trip up from Grand Island.
Just saw three @WVUBaseball players walking through the crowd on the way back to their hotel from the stadium in the midst of throngs of fans going to the night game at the @CWSOmaha. No one was bothering them. No police escort. No armed security. Just three ball players in dirty uniforms laughing and strolling home after winning a ballgame. That’s not something you see at other major sporting events. That’s the charm of baseball. That’s the charm of Omaha. Never change.

The Grand Island Fightin’ Cranes are wrapping up a road trip tonight at Hastings.
A win would get them to 10-2 on the season, while nobody else in the league has a winning record…

His father Brian tells me over 100 friends and family will be traveling to support.

ESPN's Chris Burke said he can't think of another top-8 national seed who is getting less buzz than Alabama entering the MCWS, speaking on a press teleconference.
