I'm hearing some wild misinformation being spread by some opponents of SB 213 today. To clear it up - no, nothing in SB 213 requires cities to shut down commercial development along transit corridors. To quote actual bill language (1/2):

So far, the main arguments against SB-213 is that local governments can best address the housing crisis. But we have a housing crisis, so it’s clear the current approach is not working. #morehousingnow #reducesprawl #preventdisplacement

Senator Kirkmeyer, in particular, is concerned about input from neighbors. But the hyperlocalized process that prioritizes NIMBY voices has proven a huge impediment for creating more housing. #morehousingnow #reducesprawl #preventdisplacement

The wife of the Mayor of Boulder was hit by a driver yesterday. Who is next? #visionzero
Yesterday was a tough day -- a car hit @cherryboulder while she was walking our dog. Thank goodness, she's not seriously injured (and the car missed our dog), but we were in the ER for 7 hours and she's all bruised and banged up.

Hoping more climate funders will help get more e-bikes on the road. Yes, they don’t have massive GHG impacts, but they are ready to go.
This is wild. The CEO of Rivian, the electric truck maker, on the record: - the future of urban mobility and deliveries is e-bikes - fully autonomous cars are unlikely/impossible - the battery supply shortage will slow the electric car transition techcrunch.com/2022/10/19/ri…

#Boulder, the Broadway bike path and sidewalk between University and Boulder Creek is about to become very dangerous, due to a new CU development and the addition of a poorly placed car entrance. Learn more and sign the petition to change the design at actionnetwork.org/petitions/…
