An Abbotsbury first for me this morning: grasshopper warbler singing its heart out. Alongside whitethroats, Cetti’s, blackcaps & chiffchaff on the railway track. The area cleared & replanted is really alive. @SwannerySteve @DorsetBirdClub

Lovely to wake to the call of a cuckoo this morning and it’s been going on and off for the last couple of hours. @swannerySteve it’s the first I have heard in Abbotsbury in the last eight years but I have not been here in late April and May until now. Are they an annual visitor?
