I’m a massive nerd, but I always think about this in terms of complexity theory where it’s a core construct that initial conditions have a big impact on the state that systems end up in, and that there unfortunately isn’t a way to avoid this, nor is there a “perfect” way to start

Every time someone in the US finds out I’m Australian they talk about how the spiders and snakes must be so scary/that they could never visit. There are bears and mountain lions here, if they want to, they’ll chase you up a tree and kill you. Spiders/snakes will run away…
