Year 9 Options and Open Evening is on Thursday 6th February 2025 4.30-7pm.
Subject stalls with Subject Teachers and examples of work to will be available to visit. Options presentations at 5pm & 6pm plus opportunities to discuss students’ progress with Teachers.

As the weather is improving Hanson Academy will open as normal tomorrow (13.01.25). All students are expected to arrive for lessons by 8.25am. Students are permitted to wear weather sensible shoes tomorrow.

Y11 Parents Evening Postponed - due to the current weather situation we have made the decision to postpone Y11 Parents Evening that was due to take place on Thursday 9th January. it will now take place on Thursday 23rd January.

Due to the adverse weather and freezing temperature this week, we have made the difficult decision to postpone all enrichment clubs, fixtures, interventions and online math after school. All interventions will resume w/c 13th January 2025

Super Saturday Maths Club has launched at Hanson.
Two hours of extra maths for Year 11 (with added doughnuts 🍩 courtesy of Mr Sheedy).
This is how we've added more than 12% to our Grade 4 passes in just 2 years.

Mr Rice decided to rise to Mr Barnett's challenge and aim to make Hanson the first school in the Trust to have the new Casio calculator emulator on the Blue Line tomorrow.
(Here's hoping Mr Travers is on hand to help him and Mr Chalashika use the touchscreen! 😂😂😂)

299 students beat Mr Murgs to his desk this week, meaning that they will get one of the special glow in the dark ducks.

900 ducks handed out including 160 "special" ducks for students doing their homework on Day One.
