day 28 of building in public just crossed €1k gross revenue on Stripe 5 months of building. 575 users, 34 paying (so a 6% conversion which is... not great). MRR at €300 the moment things shifted was when I killed the free plan and added a hard paywall. before that, almost zero conversions but I'm still not sure it's the right call long-term. give a bit for free? nothing until they pay? freemium with limits? curious how others approached this :)

woke up today to 500€ MRR, good way to start the week the momentum is good, I've been doubling down on marketing after 2-3 weeks shipping new features like crazy this week I'm going to double the sub prices of my SaaS, looking forward to see the effect it will have on MRR 👀

biggest mistake I did so far on LeadsRover… spent 2 hours perfecting a product update email to send to every registered user since the beginning rewrote every section multiple times to make sure it was good enough to send to 500 people first answer I receive after sending is this…

something i've noticed about myself and i'm not sure it's healthy good day of signups and conversions, i'm flying. great mood, energy, the whole day feels easy an old customer churning, or a trial that doesn't convert, and it genuinely affects my mood for hours i think it means i care, which is good. but it's clearly not sustainable. the numbers are noisy and my head shouldn't move 1:1 with them anyone else tie their mood to the dashboard like this? how do you create some distance from it?

as promised this morning, no feature shipped today instead, I spent some time submitting my app to a few websites - TrustMRR - G2 / Capterra - TrustPilot - some smaller SaaS directories the goal: to improve my backlinks and domain rating, to improve my SEO performance honestly one of the most boring days since I started this journey but I’m hoping to see the effects in a few weeks 📈

today will be a boring day i'm not building anything until i've submitted LeadsRover to every directory i can find. G2, Capterra, SaaS listing sites, all of it no new features. no UI tweaks. just filling out the same form 30 times it's tedious and it's not fun, but backlinks from high-authority domains lift domain rating, and domain rating is the boring foundation under everything SEO growth isn't always shipping. sometimes it's the boring work nobody tweets about what's the most tedious growth task that actually moved the needle for you?

really impressed with Claude Fable so far, he seems way more competent at solving system design issues there's a few problems I've been trying to solve for weeks, and was not happy with the solutions offered by Opus. let's see if Fable can do better :)

2:30pm - 15 min demo call starts with a potential customer 3pm - notification received to tell me he started his free trial 🚀 demo booked automatically using my own app :) I've found demo calls were converting heavily into paying customers, only issue is that it's very time consuming and I can't realistically do many of them every day 🤔

rebuilding my landing page this week. the job was simple: take a few screenshots of the app instead i spent hours fixing UI details every time i found myself thinking "this screen wouldn't look good on the landing page" the real problem was obvious. the screen doesn't look good, period. my users see it every day. i just stopped noticing accidental lesson: marketing your product is a UI audit in disguise. if it's not worth a screenshot, it's not ship-worthy

I analyzed 1107 of our my cold reddit DMs to figure out what actually gets a reply. 531 of them got one (48%) i was sure the difference would be the first message. better hook, tighter ask, more personalization... it wasn't the message. the DMs that got replies and the ones that got ignored were basically identical same length (~38 words), always ending with a question, same structure personalization the copy was too consistent to explain who replied and who didn't what actually mattered was speed. how fast I messaged someone after they posted: under 6h → 55% 6-24h → 42% 1-3 days → 30% a week → 12% so if your outreach isn't landing, don't start with the wording. spending time wondering whether you should start with "hey" or "hi" won't change anything measure how fast you actually reach people. that gap is costing you more replies than any rewrite ever will :)

redesign of my SaaS is going well 🎨 cleaned up the homepage, also added a small onboarding check list to improve activation for new users I see a lot of people registering to my app, seeing a list of leads and then doing nothing about it. it's hard to understand the value of the product in this case, so hopefully this will improve conversion and retention also added a bit of color with the the gradient in the upsell card, goal was to make the UI a bit less boring and make it standout from the rest as always I'm very open to feedback 🙌

as a founder with a frontend engineering background, I can tell you it's very important to always obsess over details that no one will ever notice... (before/after)

currently in the middle of a redesign of my dashboard page and I'd like to have some opinions I think showing the funnel % from card to card is important, but I can't find a way to make it look nice that's the best I could get to so far... is it acceptable or would you just drop the % between cards?
