It was lovely to welcome the FLAN to Leeds today. Excellent retrospective from Mike Sharples and a number of themes discussed for future research into open online learning. Contrary to the screenshot below, I was introducing DES rather than singing (MOOC themed song titles any1?)

We should be up front about expectations around use of tech to avoid embarrassment of students turning up with pen and paper and flagging up laptop loans where available. Transition needs to start before they join with advice on key digital skills required #altc23
