44mph tailwind meant it felt like riding a moped for bits of it, a mile would go by and you hadn't turned a pedal. Then you turn a corner and have to get off and push. Downhill.
A man took me to his house and gave me the seat post and saddle from his bike, told me to post them from Glasgow when I got there. People are amazing. It rained and I ate incredible salmon three ways.
Lowlight of Outer Hebrides tour day two was my saddle snapping off on a fast descent (seat post clamp just exploded). Literally walked up to strangers in Tarbert on Harris asking for help (no bike shop, no boat/train bail out option). 1/2
Doing a solo cycling tour of the Outer Hebrides and it's just as exciting and beautiful as I'd hoped it would be. Highlight of day one a toss up between the sudden jarring brutalist church and the light on the beach at the end of the day.
Ok, after many hours of hard work on MS Paint I think I've come up with an accurate 'Does This Council Area in Scotland Have an Escalator?' map.

Red = Doesn't/maybe does and I'm too lazy to properly look into it
Can we bring a bike on the 926 Glasgow to Campbeltown bus @ScotCitylink? I know you're doing a trial with bike socks on other routes - can we put them in the hold if we bring our own socks? Bike boxes not an option because we want to ride them somewhere at the other end.
