I’ve spent nearly a third of my life here so it’s hard to sum up what this club means to me. Promotion, play-offs and FA Cup appearances aside, the club has felt like an extension of my family. I’ve met so many great people here, fans included, and plenty will remain in my life forever. I feel it’s important to be transparent with the fanbase, and that finances haven’t come into my decision one bit. I’ve had a few chances to leave over the last few years but I’ve always stayed. What made up my mind is the way certain player/staff situations - people that helped build the club - have been handled, and the direction the club is headed in. I hope things change because Carl and Sean are brilliant. I didn’t envisage it ending like this, but I don’t want to leave on a sour note. So I’m leaving with a heavy heart, but full of great memories. Robins forever ❤️

The experienced midfielder previously enjoyed a successful 8 year spell at Bracknell Town, where he captained the side, helped secure promotion to Step 3 and featured in two FA Cup First Round campaigns. Bracknell Town Football Club can confirm that Max Herbert has requested that his contract be mutually terminated, which the club has agreed to. Max has been a valued member of the Robins during his time at the club and has played an important role in some significant moments in our recent history. Notably, he was part of the squad that secured promotion to Step 3 and contributed to the club reaching the FA Cup First Round on two occasions, achievements that will remain proud milestones for everyone connected with Bracknell Town. Everyone at the club would like to place on record our sincere thanks to Max for his commitment, professionalism and contribution during his time at the SB Stadium.
