Announcing Worktrunk! A git worktree manager, designed for running AI agents in parallel. A few points on why I'm so excited about the project, and why I hope it becomes broadly adopted 🧡

Europe is ready for AGI: - 20-hour week - unparalleled regulatory infrastructure - political system built to divide spoils - annual August stress-test of human relevance

you're doing much more for humanity by giving your kids too much screen time than not having kids at all out of 100 billion humans to have ever lived, a child in the US now is likely in the most fortunate 100 million, even with too many screens
Parenting is hard etc but I’m sorry if you’re allowing your toddler 2-3 hours of screen time per day you actually are failing them and you’re failing as a parent. This past week I saw at least a dozen toddlers running around with devices, some with phones clipped to their strollers(!). Your toddler has only been in the world for a short time. It’s still very interesting to them if you let them look up at it.

I've never been one to complain about ads, but Googling "worktrunk" now has a full page of AI ads, and the open-source project is pushed below the fold...

the best hedge against AGI is to have kids maybe you think you're too busy because you're on the computer making the numbers go up. but you're terrible at that, relative to Mythos. so do what we've been trained to do for 100K years: find a partner and bring up kids

most dogs are well-behaved enough to be in shops & restaurants & airplanes but some aren't, and no one wants to make dog-level decisions so we have overly strict rules that are unevenly enforced, which requires people with the well-behaved dogs to lie

if you believe in the simulation hypothesis, you should behave like a Christian do unto others as you would have them do unto you ... because the simulations you're being sampled into ("the afterlife") are likely to give you that

fortunately have to post this again Christianity is the greatest alignment system ever revealed

maybe this is immoral but: if you're running late for a Waymo, you can get another few minutes by changing the pickup location, even by 20 yards

A small thank you to everyone using Claude: We’re doubling usage outside our peak hours for the next two weeks.

one downside of selling weapons to rich nepotistic allies is their newfound cability to mistakenly shoot down your planes
SCOOP: A Kuwaiti F/A-18 fighter jet was the cause of the accidental shootdown of three American F-15s on Sunday, according to three people familiar with initial reports of the incident. wsj.com/livecoverage/iran-is…

whatever OpenAI's object-level beliefs, defecting when Anthropic is attempting to cooperate, is terrible behavior and makes the future more dangerous

the biggest mistake I see non-technical friends make who just discovered Claude Code: *reverse clauding* don't become the bot! Claude might suggest that you copy & paste error messages etc. But instead tell it to set up a CLI / use Chrome integration to do the full loop itself

surprisingly I'm the #1 trending developer on GitHub atm but following me is much less interesting that following the projects: Worktrunk is at github.com/max-sixty/worktru…, and check out Jean-Claude et al! github.com/trending/develope…

Are you still looking at the diff? Because in January 2026 it's marginal, right?

Big thanks to @AnthropicAI and the @claudeai team, including @bcherny @_catwu @alexalbert__, for building Claude Code. Worktrunk wouldn't exist without it πŸ™ If this was useful, staring the repo / liking / RT-ing the first tweet helps spread the word. x.com/max_sixty/status/20060…
