Bismillahi Rahmani Rahiim; I have arrived in Israel as the first President of the Republic of Somaliland to undertake a State Visit, and I am honoured by the warm welcome extended by my friend, President @Isaac_Herzog For thirty-five years, the people of Somaliland have built a peaceful, democratic, and resilient nation. We asked the world: Do you see us? Israel answered first. Today marks a historic milestone in our journey and the beginning of a new chapter in the relationship between Somaliland and Israel. To the people of Somaliland: I carry your hopes and aspirations with me. Generations have struggled, sacrificed, and persevered to bring our nation to this moment. We will seize this opportunity with confidence, wisdom, and determination, always guided by the interests of our people and our Republic. Today, history is being written, and Somaliland stands ready to forge a shared future founded on friendship, cooperation, and mutual respect. #SomalilandIsrael

🚨‼️ BREAKING: Ahead of President Cirro’s Visit to Israel, Somaliland’s National Payment System Could Become the Biggest Financial Breakthrough in the Nation’s History ‼️🚨 Following Israel’s historic recognition of Somaliland in December 2025, attention is now turning to what may become the next major milestone: economic and financial integration. The launch of Somaliland’s National Payment System (NPS) marks the beginning of a transition from financial isolation to global connectivity. Why does this matter? ✅ Modern National Financial Infrastructure For the first time, Somaliland is building a unified payment network capable of connecting banks, businesses, digital payments, and government services. ✅ Potential Israel–Somaliland Fintech Partnership Israel is one of the world’s leading fintech, cybersecurity, and digital banking hubs. Cooperation in these sectors could help accelerate Somaliland’s financial modernization and strengthen confidence in its banking system. ✅ Access to Global Markets As Somaliland’s financial infrastructure matures, businesses could increasingly settle international trade in major currencies such as U.S. Dollars, Euros, and Israeli Shekels—making trade, investment, and cross-border commerce easier and more efficient. ✅ Greater Investor Confidence Modern payment systems, stronger cybersecurity, digital identity solutions, and internationally aligned banking standards are exactly the foundations global investors look for before committing capital. The significance of this moment cannot be overstated. This is not simply a banking reform. It is the construction of the financial infrastructure needed to connect Somaliland more closely to regional and global markets. From Recognition to Integration. From Isolation to Opportunity. From Diplomacy to Economic Transformation.

MEEL BA’DOW YAA KU LEH Have you ever seen a city that had 4 mayors and 4 deputy mayors in 5 years. They now extended for another 2 years, they haven’t even built 10 roads on those years This is one of the reasons Burco is so behind every other region in Somaliland because these are the representatives of that wonderful city!!!!!!!!!!

BURCOOY KHAYRKEED KA HADHAAY Every single city I visited in Somaliland was booming, with major developments taking place everywhere—except one city: Burco, Togdheer. The issue is not Xeer 12. It is not Reer Hargeisa. It is not Reer Berbera. The issue is absolutely with Reer Burcothemselves. The second image shows the response I received from the person said to be the "Burco Airport Manager." I was only trying to help Burco and Togdheer, but the first challenge came from the very people we are supposed to support and work with. Part of my holiday was actually to see and work on what could have been done on Burco airport - but instead am going back to London with empty hands and in fact I had the opportunity to do a good crowd and charity fund for the airport. If we truly want progress, we must first be willing to support those who are trying to contribute to it. BURCO NEEDS A CHANGE

2/Why is it that very people in these systematically marginalising areas are expected to raise funds for roads and airports. I am glad they refused whatever you were trying to do!! End the marginalisation& RED ZONE #END_XEER_12

For sure this guy is fucked up. This discovery by the US means the whole world will be cautious on this guy including the major European countries
🚨HOLY CRAP: The Al-Shabaab Islamic terrorist group just put out a statement BACKING the Somali referee who was denied entree into the U.S.— they then slam the Trump admin and call on Somalis to “expel the invaders.” Looks like DHS made the right decision barring him from entering our country!

Shakir Ahmed The young Somalilander software developer has confirmed that he spoke with the Chief of the Somaliland Navy. This is a great step forward and a positive sign that innovation and local talent are being recognized at the highest levels.

Amazing. A young Somalilander software developer has created a system that tracks illegal fishing boats across the Red Sea and the Indian Ocean. Not only is this system helping Somaliland monitor unusual maritime activities, but it also has the potential to become an award-winning innovation.
