I have written my first fanfic on Ao3. It is called 'And Then There Was You'. It is a Max/Esther fic and set in a Modern era AU. The first 3 chapters are up. I hope you enjoy.

Isn’t it crazy that on one hand men are crying about declining birth rates and on the other, crying about women taking maternity leave. The math isn’t mathing.
Shoko Kawata, the 35-year-old mayor of Yawata city in Kyoto Prefecture, has announced she’ll be taking maternity leave around the coming birth of her child, putting herself at the forefront of a national debate and exposing a glaring gap in Japan’s historically patriarchal labor and political systems. cnn.it/3Qv8LFz
I'm finally reading Dune. This quote, which is in the first few pages, hits hard:
"Once men turned their thinking over to machines in the hope that this would set them free. But that only permitted other men with machines to enslave them."
The term woke has become so bastardized, the fact that it started as a term from african american culture that meant being aware of racial and social injustices and now it’s used to describe anything that’s slightly inclusive because right wingers changed its meaning is upsetting
Idris Elba says James Bond doesn’t need to be “woke”
“Bond is big all over the world. And audiences won’t [all] go for a Black male, an African male, playing Bond. That’s not what they like in their culture. Period…
Bond is so unrealistic, so a hint of reality is good, but let’s not try and make it woke. I think you’ve got to be pure to what it is: escapism. Don’t try and answer the world’s taste. Just be Bond.”

Most MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES actually would disappear when bills are paid, rent is secure, and the fridge is full. Peace is expensive. Pretending money doesn't affect MENTAL HEALTH is privilege.

🚨 ICE announces it will no longer report deaths of recently released detainees.
This comes after the deaths of recently released detainees surge to a two-decade high.
German students gave their classroom skeleton a proper burial after discovering it was a real person, likely from India, revealing the centuries-old global trade in human skeletons for schools and universities.
Carnales is Mexican Spanish slang for brothers, close friends, or companions. It comes from carnal, literally "of the flesh," and implies a bond deeper than ordinary friendship. In queer communities, the word can carry an added layer of affection, loyalty, and chosen family.
This painting depicts two tattooed men sharing a kiss, framed like a nineteenth-century portrait. Their tattoos tell stories of faith, love, memory, and identity, while the embrace itself speaks to the tenderness that exists beneath outward appearances.
