Been a little while, but I made some great progress on the next iteration of typerfast.com (personalized typing exercises) this weekend. I'm typing at work today, and my fingers are way more confident because I really drilled my weaknesses. Big updates are coming!

I love @WIRED, but this is the worst researched piece of rage bait I've read since I subscribed ten years ago. Vague and aimless, its only argument seems to be that Ruby isn't Python or JS. Ruby doesn't scale -- what is this, 2018?

Having a wild technology day. First, I got subscribed to a @letsdothisrace list for putting my email in a form (but not submitting!) Unsubscribing fails 3 times - I get a confirm, then more email. So I write to support only to get an AI response empathizing with my frustration.

It baffles me that companies ask for sexual orientation on your application. I get that this is intended to combat discrimination, but the fact that it's in any way part of the hiring conversation feels outlandish.
