There will be an introduction to Rug Hooking next Wednesday, May 14th, from 1pm to 3pm. Join us during this crash course on rug hooking, and every Wednesday after for a fun, laidback group.

Come out this Saturday for our Easter Egg-stravaganza! The market will be in the gym starting at 9am, with Touch-a-Truck starting at 10. The Easter Egg hunt will begin promptly at 11am in the school yard, and the library will be putting on some Easter crafts starting at 12pm.

Come out to the library on Saturday, February 22 at 1pm to meet children's author Donna Reid! Donna will be talking about her book, "Fiddle is Missing," a story about a young firefly named Twyla who embarks on an adventure after her cousin and best friend, Fiddle, goes missing.

Come out every Tuesday and Friday this winter from 9am to 10am for a walking group in Emond Hall (the Hastings Highlands Centre Gymnasium). Open to the public and free, however participants are asked to stop at the municipal office to sign a waiver when joining.

The Hastings Highlands Public Library will be closing over the holidays from Tuesday, December 24th until Wednesday, January 1st, 2025. We will reopen for our regular hours of operation on Thursday, January 2nd, 2025.

We will be hosting a Volunteer Appreciation Tea to thank all of our volunteers from the past year for their time and energy supporting the library. This informal reception will take place on Wednesday, November 13th, from 3-5pm.

The library is hosting a Mystery Dinner & Silent Auction fundraiser on November 22. Tickets are for sale for $40. Dinner will be lasagna with caesar salad & dessert included. If you require gluten free or vegetarian options, please call ahead to let the library know in advance.

Looking for something to do on Tuesday afternoons? Check out our Bridge Group every Tuesday in the library at 1pm. Players of all skill levels are welcome. Visit us at 33011 Hwy 62 Maynooth in the Hastings Highlands Centre building.
