might as well post this here traditionally hand drawn 48FPS loop done in Flash 8 and Animate 2024 animated over the span of like, 200 hours. 83 individual drawings

8, 12, and 24FPS is perfect for animation. Anything above 30FPS will utterly destroy anybody's motivation because the burnout will sneak up on you way faster than usual. Animation is fuckin exhausting, don't make it 4x more exhausting than it already needs to be.
What’s a hard truth Animation/Anime Twitter needs to hear?

This is also why you haven't seen much animation from me in a while. HFR animation looks cool when the project is finished, but now I've unfortunately sent my standards for jitter beyond what's useful for most applications.

I always try to use a very VERY subtle stabilizer when I draw. Something that's basically on the lowest setting, but this is mostly to prevent this kind of thing from happening.
Replying to @mayyde
Did you set the stabilization or not?

I'm kinda surprised that this post is getting attention. I didnt think that people would be interested in this warmup exercise, I just shared it thinking it was cool and that this was something that every artist usually does before they start drawing anything lol

i might be the only person in existence that can't stand the texture of drawing on paper. i generally prefer the feeling of gliding along the surface because i get a lot more control. my pen often gets caught in the grit of the paper almost like a violin bow on strings lol

nice cool, now on paper

my fender hot rod deluxe IV is officially DEAD. so no overdriven/distorted electric guitar recording until i can get it fixed up and figured out. gonna take it to a technician that actually knows what theyre doing so i don't poke around inside and fucking electrocute myself.

did you know that blender costs zero dollars? incredible right, a hefty $0 to make your own stuff, just absolutely insane to me. an entire $0 for this software is unheard of. didn't even know that was possible ZERO holy fuck im gonna pass out wtf

Both of these images are AI-generated: various UI elements are different to how they normally appear in Blender, and "Manding", "Squiding", "EV Edility", "Tarsker Trrck", etc. are not real tabs in Blender. youtube.com/watch?v=-tbSCM…

It's funny that most of the AI bros I've noticed online always complain about how "hard" it is to get into creating art. They talk immediately about how it's expensive, while simultaneously owning a PC with an i9, 64GB of RAM, an RTX 5090 and 6 monitors LMFAO

Blender is free, like it's so incredibly free. It's so easy to open Blender and just start pressing buttons. The amount of information there is to find on how to do everything is crazy. Fuck AI bullshit, this generative AI shit should immediately die
