Want to optimise your app further? Pagination for large data. Cursor-based for feeds (consistent results), offset-based for admin tables (simpler). Different use cases need different solutions.

Caching strategy: cache expensive operations (API calls, complex queries), invalidate on data change. Redis or in-memory for small datasets. Do you use any caching strategy currently or waiting to get a more active user base? Caching is a last resort.

Monitoring user actions beats guessing behavior. Analytics show what users actually do, not what you think they do. Click paths, drop offs, rage clicks, time to first action. Start simple: PostHog, Plausible, or even basic event logs. Track a few core actions well. Decisions based on data beat opinions every time.

Ship the simplest thing that solves the problem. Add more stuff as you iterate. Keep It Simple and Stupid (KISS principle).

If your API feels slow locally, it will feel worse in production. Fix latency early.

Email services compared: Resend (100 emails/day free), Mailgun ($0.80/1000), AWS SES ($0.10/1000). For solo devs, Resend wins for me.

Metrics that matter: error rate, p95 response time, deployment frequency, MTTR. Track 10 metrics well vs 100 metrics poorly.

Authentication architecture: JWT in httpOnly cookies, refresh token rotation, Redis for token blacklist. Supports multiple thousands of concurrent sessions.

Definitely. Keep it simple.

Your startup doesn't need Kubernetes. You have 3 microservices and 2 developers. Stop cosplaying as Netflix.

Redis on the same server as your app is fine until multiple thousands of requests/day. Don't pay for managed Redis too early. Save $$.

Pushing directly to main and deploying? Not the best solution, better to have a PR with CI pipelines. If you insist on pushing directly, add pre-commit hooks. Pre-commit hooks that save production bugs: run linter, type-check, format code, maybe quick unit tests. Takes 3 seconds, catches mistakes instantly.

SQLite for side projects is underrated. Zero setup, serverless-compatible, handles 100k requests/day. Ships with your app.

SQL injection prevention: NEVER concatenate user input into queries. Use parameterized queries or ORMs. Whatโ€™s SQL injection? ๐Ÿ‘‡

Why this matters: SQL injecton leads to data leaks, auth bypass, and full DB compromise. Parameterized queries force input to stay as data, not code.

Keep your code and your userโ€™s data safe. Protect against SQL injection.
