Easy to overlook whats not on your own doorstep! More than 1 in 5 people were in poverty in 2021/22 – 14.4 million!
It has been almost 20 years and 6 prime ministers since the last prolonged period of falling poverty. Will the next make a difference? - guess not

As academics we write papers and wonder if anyone actually reads them. Then you get a ping that tells you your work has been cited. Publishing is a “snow ball effect” in the contribution to knowledge you put something out there and others build on it. I should really publish more
