Don’t forget the paragon of “small guard” dominance is in the 2026 NBA Draft. Fortune favors the bold, don’t overthink this.
Greatest benefactor of the Brunson/small guard agenda going back to college 🕊️

I’m going to end up ridiculously high on Bryson Howard for the ‘27 cycle — hovering around the T5-10 range. Exceptional mix of positional size (6’6, 6’11 WS), shooting (42% 3P 40 3Pr), defensive playmaking (~3 stocks/g) & ancillaries. One of the best long-term draft prospects.
Bryson Howard is possibly the biggest X factor in the ‘27 NBA draft The 6’6 Duke-commit is going to be one of the younger players in CBB next year and has an awesome track record as a scorer and 3-point shooter. Could be one of the top players in this class by next year

I’m very excited about this move for Elyjah Freeman to Texas. One of the most impactful gets in the cycle. 6’8, high-level athlete with strong tools, aggression as a driver, two-way versatility & connective skills. Disruptive wing defender (2.6% BLK 2.8% STL) with NBA upside.
NEWS: Auburn transfer forward Elyjah Freeman has committed to Texas, sources told @On3.

The 6-8 sophomore averaged 9.2 points and 5.2 rebounds per game this season. on3.com/college/texas-longho…

Texas easily has the best recruiting cycle (portal HS) of any school. Their potential ‘27 lineup: Isaiah Johnson Austin Goosby Elyjah Freeman David Punch Matas Vokietiatis 🔁 Evans/Ogden Plenty of high level NBA upside on this squad. You can pencil Texas in as a T10 team.

One of my favorite moves from this transfer cycle. Wouldn’t surprise me if Mingo blossoms into a lotto/late 1st guy in ‘27. Strong self creator with driving skill (62% ATR @ 20% ast’d), ↑ AST/USG, tools defensive playmaking (3.8% STL). Excited to see Mingo tear it up in Waco.
BREAKING: Penn State transfer guard Kayden Mingo has committed to Baylor, @JamieShaw5 confirms. on3.com/college/baylor-bears…

Was very fond of the early season production impact from Mingo, despite the shooting woes (24.4%, 5.7 3PA/100). Think he has the tools to be successful under Scott Drew, who has a very strong track record of developing guard talents. I’ll be following Mingo closely for ‘27.

Really been impressed with #PennState PG Kayden Mingo & his productive start to the season. 17/4.8/4.4 through his first 5 games — strong scoring emphasis at the rim (70.6% FG). Promising signs as on-ball creator (2.75 A/TO) but has also struggled from the perimeter (4/22 3P).

29. Janiah Barker to Las Vegas = B Love the size, scoring, handling defensive playmaking intersection with Barker. Was the 10th ranked prospect on my board, love her as a rotational bet for the Aces.

I cannot believe Maggie Doogan, Kyla Oldacre, Raegan Beers and Brooklyn Meyer went undrafted. W GM’s don’t draft by the margins and it shows.
