Today marks the one-year anniversary of the single deadliest day in Jewish history since the Holocaust. As Governor, I will implement a statewide plan to combat antisemitism as part of an anti-hate agenda. This Plan will include additional funds for security of religious organizations. We must work toward a society that is welcoming, safe, and inclusive for all Washingtonians, including our Jewish neighbors, and stand up against all hate, bigotry, and discrimination.

Saddened to see more graffiti at UW's campus, which I'm told appeared this past Sunday. Wishing a smooth commencement to all students after a painful few weeks of protest and activity.

New pro-Palestinian graffiti seen on UW’s campus today. Buildings include Gerberding Hall (admin building), Denny Hall, Suzzallo, and some on the Quad. It is currently unknown what time this was done.

This new @glaad & @ADL report released today is an important piece of data that shines a light on anti-LGBTQ extremism that has been bubbling across our communities for years. In the PNW, we are encountering growing incidents at schools, businesses, and in neighborhoods. ⬇️
🧵 In a first-of-its-kind report, ADL and @GLAAD tracked 356 anti-LGBTQ hate and extremism incidents from June 2022 to April 2023, including 305 acts of harassment, 40 acts of vandalism and 11 incidents of assault.

The rise in antisemitic rhetoric and hate crimes in WA state and across the country is deeply disturbing. Today in Seattle, I met with Jewish community leaders to hear how they're doing and how the federal government can better do its part to combat antisemitism.

Heartbroken and appalled that Temple De Hirsch Sinai was targeted with hateful graffiti the day before Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Day of Remembrance. We will not tolerate anti-Semitism in Seattle – we must all speak out against this disgusting vandalism.
