So, here's the plan: chain 17 3 to accomodate turning to the double crochet stitch. Make a square that's roughly 5.5 inches, which mens doing 9 rows.
Sounds good? Well... it's thankfully turning out good as well. I've made one square and I'm pretty proud!

And hey, I ended up feeling really encouraged and made seven new squares, all of which look infinitely more in line with my vision for this project. I'm very, very happy with the results and hopefully, can make many more tomorrow on my breaks!
