Mariners fumbled bad while the 2nd place Athletics got to play back to back series in an exhibition ballpark. You cannot let these things happen. Teams gotta play better.

Don't forget MLB owners get interest yields on the escrowed money and pocket it
The MLB Players’ Union is opposed to escrowing salaries under the Owners’ proposal for a hard cap and revenue split - here it is explained in 58 seconds. For all my shorts translating CBA talks to plain English, drop a sub at: youtube.com/@threeinningfan?…

"Outcomes are on the line, and we're warping them by allowing these games to be played in Vegas." @Ken_Rosenthal and @AlannaRizzo aren't fans of meaningful games being played at Las Vegas Ballpark.

This is a fair assessment of the current political landscape
Democrats' defensive disaster leads to two runs for Republicans after a hit by Rep. Bill Huizenga that didn't leave the infield in the annual Congressional Baseball Game for Charity. Republican and Democratic lawmakers took the field in one of Washington's longest-running traditions, with the GOP looking to extend a multi-year winning streak. The matchup has raised millions for charity over the years and offers a rare moment where political rivals compete side-by-side outside the halls of Congress.

Are the A’s in big trouble with their future home being in Las Vegas? 😬

I'm gonna pushback on the defenders. Unless ballpark and field dimensions are accounting for the environment we are going to see a launching pad ballpark in Vegas. The A's are going to have a hard time with pitching. A/C isn't going to makeup for altitude.

Hot Take: Aaron Judge's legacy is going to owe a lot to Shohei Ohtani going to the National League.

It's gonna be heartbreaking for all of these Pirates twitter fans showing their ass only to see the CBA be not too crazy different from the current set up. They'll still have Bob Nutting crying poor but also an increasingly less sympathetic baseball twitter crowd.

A lockout is by definition the fault of the owners. The players can't initiate a lockout. Management locks out. Labor strikes.
The MLBPA is going to look very dumb and greedy, since everyone can do the math and see that the pool of money going to all players likely remains pretty close I'm not defending the owners, but the lockout will be on the players if they can't negotiate for a cap in good faith

CBA prediction: We end up with a taxed floor and more significant penalties for going above the CBT including losing draft picks. A shared media deal takes shape but the big teams need to be bought out I could see a mechanism exempting their gate revenues from revenue sharing

Between Brent Rooker and Lawrence Butler the A's certainly made some choices when they were panic handing out extensions.

There needs to be a working of definition of what "small market" means. This is the same league that let a franchise call the Bay Area a small market for over a decade.
How many of those champs were small markets? (None in 11 years BTW). Also-
