H.E. Eng. Salim Nasser Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals, led Oman’s delegation to the fifth edition of the World Hydrogen Summit held in the Netherlands, with participation from officials and specialists from the Ministry and related government entities. During the summit, H.E. delivered the opening address, highlighting the latest progress in implementing Oman’s Green Hydrogen Strategy and sharing the Sultanate’s perspective on the key enablers needed to accelerate growth in this promising sector. He also emphasized the importance of global alignment on standards, enabling frameworks, and supportive regulations to advance the transition toward a hydrogen-based energy future.
The visit also included official meetings with counterparts in the Netherlands to explore opportunities for collaboration and support implementation plans for the Green Corridor project linking Duqm Port and the Port of Amsterdam. In addition, the delegation took part in a series of meetings, workshops, and engagements with public and private sector participants at the summit, alongside field visits to ongoing projects in the Netherlands to explore leading technologies and best practices in clean energy and green hydrogen.
