A fantastic achievement by the @secondhq team! I'm proud to have helped on the integration side by developing the Bark @BtcpayServer plugin. Accept Lightning and Ark payments in BTCPay Server, no Lightning liquidity management required!
SECOND IS NOW ON MAINNET. Bark, our implementation of the Ark protocol, is available for anyone to start making bitcoin payments. Included in the launch are our mainnet Ark server, the Bark SDK, and multiple wallets to try from day one.

BTCPay Server is great, but for some applications you need something lighter. qpayd is trying to fill that gap. Bark ensures that processing self-custodial Lightning payments is lightweight too (no LN node).

Is it time to repost this again? @satmojoe 👏👏👏
Introducing: “What’s The Problem?” Let’s help *everyone* get to the starting line. Accessible to all, the story of Fiatello and the Big Red Button is something we can all send *before* the first Bitcoin book / podcast / video. Please share it with everyone you care about (link below). Thank you Bitcoin 🧡 @satmojoe

Noice.
In 2010, Laszlo paid Jercos 10,000 BTC to order 2 x pizzas from Papa Johns. Today, Domino’s accepted 31,464 sats from me - directly and in Bitcoin over Lightning, for 2 x pizzas. Happy Bitcoin Pizza Day, 2026 🍕!

Unfortunately, many people do not know this. 'Tis a sad state of affairs.

Just a note to people who do not understand inflation. This does not mean things are getting cheaper, it just means the rate at which things are getting more expensive has slowed.

The problem with modern politics is that the electoral process favours slimely social climbing backstabbing types. Awful people who are great at pretending they are something they’re not. They in turn receive media attention from businesses and public figures who seek to profit from them (big money 💸) The general public watches on and believes this is behaviour to aspire to emulate… and so the slimely social climbing backstabbing scumbag as an archetype proliferates across society. But apparently this os good because of “equality” and “meritocracy”.

Don’t care. These classifications have no correlation with truth, principles or liberty. They are only an ill-defined measure who what sort of policies are currently popular relative to what used to be popular short time ago.

If an employee produces less economic value for the employer, than the minimum wage demanded by the government, then the employer will simply not hire them. Leading to less jobs.

Remember when certain unscrupulous types were insulting everyone with "learn to code" and saying they were luddites? How the turn tables. Is the new insult "Learn to plumb" 🤣

How “Shire” are you really? As more of us finally wake up, exit the fiat clown world, and start yearning for a simpler, truly self-sovereign life away from the central bankers’ endless printer go brrr… I put together this 50-statement checklist to see how deeply rooted you actually are in real UK countryside living (the kind where your sats stay safe, your land isn’t rehypothecated, and the only inflation is in your veg patch). Reply with your score below 👇 Thread below for the full list.

And there we have it — 50 Statements of Life in the Shire! 0-10 → Proper city boy (scared of cows, thinks tractors are just big lawnmowers, still trusts banks) 11-25 → Weekend warrior in designer wellies — loves the idea of mud but bolts back to fiat WiFi 26-40 → Villager in training — keep stacking sats and compost, freedom’s one harvest away 41 → True Shire resident. Hobbit royalty now — sats in Faraday bag, pantry stacked, fiat only for council tax under protest. Drop your score which one roasted you hardest. Tag a fiat-maxxing mate who thinks rural = balcony plants. What would you add? Don’t hold back. To the Shire.
