Average speeds did decline—especially at peak hours—but any increase in travel time was negligible. They concluded traffic flow remained largely unaffected; mirroring findings from numerous cities where lower limits have improved safety without creating increase in journey times.

In 2024, Bologna was the first Italian city to implement a 30 km/h speed limit. Despite initial pushback, the Città 30 initiative has brought measurable improvements in road safety, public health, air/noise quality and travel behaviour—with no measurable impact on travel times.🧵

Gatavojoties braukt zem ķieģeļa, novēroju neeksistējošu ar stabiņiem aizsargātu velojoslu pret spalvu Laimdotas ielā. Arī otrajā galā ir vieta, jo divvirzienu satiksmei izbūvēts krustojums ir gana plats. Te gan nav stabiņu, laikam lai kulbergiem nebūtu jābremzē. Pārejas nav arī.

Braucot Zemitāna laukuma virzienā izvēlos klusākas ielas. Laimdotas tagad pie skolas ir ciet, laikam Kulberga ērtības ir svarīgākas par manu drošību. Neko, skrejritenis var neievērot ķieģeli un drīkst braukt pa ietvi. Pašgājējvelo nedrīkst, bet arī var. Ļoti droši sanāca.

Uzlabota drošība gājēju pārejai pie Teikas vidusskolas Tālivalža ielā, izveidojot to paceltu ⬆️ Darbi vēl turpinās Aizkraukles ielā, kur arī tiek pacelta gājēju pāreja pie Laimdotas ielas. Tāpat tiks izbūvēta jauna gājēju pāreja Tālivalža ielā pie skolas ieejas.

Rīgas dome izsludinājusi iepirkumu jaunas ielas izbūvei Aleksandra Grīna bulvāra sarkanajās līnijās. Nesaprotu, kāpēc šeit paredzēts velotrotuārs, nevis veloiela vai dajebkāds cits risinājums, kas radinātu velobraucējus nebraukt pa ietvēm?

Vakardien Valdemāra ielā pat stundas pēc negadījuma divas pieturas trolejbuss brauca 30 min. Izkāpu ārā un gāju kājām. Tāds transports, kas neiet ir pilnīgi lieks. Valdemāra ielā AKŪTI vajag sabiedriskā transporta joslu.

Uz Vanšu tilta bija noticis ceļu satiksmes negadījums, kā rezultātā K.Valdemāra ielā bija izveidojušies satiksmes sastrēgumi. Satiksmes apgrūtinājumu dēļ bija sabiedriskā transporta kustības kavēšanās.

Acīmredzami iepriekš (pēc Ķirša lielās pārbūves) bija problēma krustojumā un to nevis atrisināja, bet vienkārši ļāva turpināt braukt ātrāk. Labi ka šoreiz tramvajs, nevis gājējs uz blakus pārejas. Ielu dizainu pilsētvidē joprojām neprotam.
