The Gowanus Canal in Brooklyn is an Superfund site which contains significant amounts of chemicals but we see the microbes have adapted and is potentially helping degrading these chemicals. My work with @henafflab and @mason_lab exploring the microbes academic.oup.com/jambio/arti…
