The Jones Fire burning in Ocean county, New Jersey has grown to 3,200 acres. Over 3,000 residents have been evacuated and 1,200 structures are threatened according to fire officials.
A massive resource response is still underway including heavy equipment, crews, aviation, and engines. Fire managers are asking people to stop flying their drones over the fire. Numerous roads are closed including Garden State Parkway between Barnegat Road and Lacey Road.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this point.
