Happy weekend, guys!π»
I received the MIU from 1337gear, and I'm honored to be the first person to receive it. Therefore, I will give you a brief preview, and I will make an evaluation based on my first impressions and initial feelings.
Size: 490mm * 420mm
Specifications: 1.5mm glass 0.8mm base (total thickness 2.3mm)
Surface Type: Coated
Performance Type: Balanced

The MIU's design is cool. Although the design style isn't my favorite, when I showed it to my friend, they really liked it, saying it was very visually striking.
In terms of quality, the MIU's glass is very flat, without any warping or bending, and the UV printing is quite clear. Although my photos magnify the rough texture of the glass, it's not noticeable to the naked eye. The CNC polishing of the edges is also quite neat.
However, the anti-slip performance of the custom base may vary depending on the table material. Unless I deliberately push it, it basically won't move at all. Overall, although I didn't receive the packaging box, I'm quite satisfied with the quality of MIU.
In terms of performance, the MIU prioritizes balanced performance, offering moderate speed and consistent control. Its surface is highly smooth, although a fine grainy texture can still be felt when rubbing against the skin of the wrist or back of the hand. However, this is not noticeable when the mouse is gliding.
Unlike many coated pads with smooth, non-textured surfaces (whether speed-oriented or control-oriented), the MIU's surface produces almost no additional stickiness. The smooth coating does not reduce friction and still provides a sense of control. Although the balanced glass pad is not particularly fast, the coating provides a very good smoothness, so whether the mouse is starting up, changing direction, or making small adjustments, you will have a very comfortable experience.
It's a bit faster than the Yuki Aim Monokuro, and it doesn't have the damping feel of the Monokuro coating when gliding, so it feels smoother. If speed were divided into 10 levels, MIU would probably be ranked level 6. Therefore, strictly speaking, I think it would be more accurate to describe the performance of MIU as neutral with a slight smoothness.
The MIU's braking performance is similar; its surface resists downward pressure quite well, producing almost no noticeable deceleration when the mouse is pressed down. The overall style remains relatively smooth.
I've tried the UNUS Pink Fox and Silver Fox skates, and they feel fantastic on the MIU! I especially love the Silver Fox's setup. However, I may have a different opinion about balance pads. I think the greatest appeal of balance pads is that you can adjust the feel by changing to different types of skates. Therefore, I'd recommend skaters prioritizing control to use the CYCLONE PRO or similar skates without additional speed curves, as they'll provide better control feedback. Because I really like Apex Legends, I prioritize speed performance, so I use the ultra-small DYSPHORIA Jellyfish Mini skates. This makes the MIU more like a speed-oriented glass pad, providing enough smoothness and speed without losing its original smoothness, which is great.
I also received a pair of 1337 GEAR arm sleeves, and frankly, they're a bit too big for me, so I can only comment on the fabric.π€¦ββοΈ
Its upper part has a non-slip strap that is very similar to the Wallhack sleeve. In terms of the stretching of the fabric, the two are very similar in hardness, but the 1337 GEAR sleeve is thinner and more breathable when worn. Whether observed with the naked eye or rubbed with the fingers, the surface of the 1337 GEAR sleeve fabric can be felt to be smoother.
The only downside is that it only covers the wrist area, but I'll fix that with scissors.
These are my complete opinions on the 1337 GEAR MI glass pad and sleeve.
I can assure you I like the surface, and my review is honest; other reviewers or buyers will confirm this once they receive the MIU.π
As a glass pad prioritizing balanced performance, the MIU doesn't have an overly aggressive style, but rather provides a comfortable gliding experience and just the right amount of control, making aiming simple and enjoyable. I personally think it's also a very suitable product for beginners.
Thank you so much to everyone who has read this far. I hope you all have a wonderful Friday!π
PS: The temperature in my city is already close to 40Β°C.π₯΅
