No software company will be able to survive that doesn't apply AI to all its software processes. Analysis, design, prototyping, coding, QA, deployment, maintenance etc. At each step, AI SW companies will 100% outperform the traditional ones w/o AI.

Coding with AI reminds me of the early days, when we had the first IDE's on PCs. Hardcore people still used low-level coding tools, maybe even pen and paper ;) That's like the SW developer of this decade, working w/o AI.

I've been a serious fan of @janniksin. What an outstanding player. But there's something seriously wrong here! No other player breaks completely down whenever the heat is on. Time to become human again and solve the real issues behind. All the best for Jannik and his team!

And suddenly the majority of former „Agile Coaches“ are „AI Consultants“ 😅 That isn‘t good news. Because only riding one hype wave after the other doesn‘t create value. It‘s just pushing common sense in a race down to the bottom 🤣
37
Promising developments of the past 15 years - changes in HR 1) They are not anymore controlling who can learn what, when, and where 2) They‘re co-responsible for culture 3) They‘re responsible for people, not for „human resources“

The time for classical #Kanban and #Scrum trainings is over. Times are gone when this was fancy, new, and people "bought" certificates. When accreditation bodies served marketing. Now, this is a race to the bottom. The topics still matter - but not wrapped as standard courses.

Instead, no matter the topic, every organization can recreate all of this with AI themselves. And frankly, no organization needs certificates. What to focus on instead: - unique experience - delivered by trusted guides - in the form of custom learning designs

I like to see ambitious young agilists. Although it‘s weird. Somehow similar to someone, who loves to write on a typewriter.

It would be naive to think that software development wouldn‘t be taken over by AI. And I think the same will happen to software architecture. Sooner than later. Because with AI everything is on an exponential curve.

I hear people questioning the autonomy of AI developing software. They ask: „To which degree will you trust AI and the code it developed?“ Now let‘s think about a large legacy platform. And ask: „To which drgree do you trust your platform and the 100s of former developers?“
27
I see some people getting stuck criticizing AI. Instead of learning to understand it. Question remains: Who hires a past-thinker? Cause companies don’t pay for what worked yesterday. They pay for what works next. If your thinking hasn’t evolved, your value hasn’t either.

Most Agile weren't targeted at innovative companies. They were targeted at incumbents. Stuck in old-school methods. But innovators work differently. They're faster by nature.

Take the Product Owner role, for example. If present at all, that's tactical. And it's too simple advice. Innovation leaders employ "Product Managers". This applies on a strategic level. They might work with POs. But they're optional. Understand Agile before replicating it!

If you want to stop losing millions ... start dropping SAFe. First 2 impactful actions: - Drop storypoint planning for your whole biz - Drop bigroom planning days with hundreds of ppl
35
If you‘re on SAFe the next big improvment will be getting rid of it. You‘ll likely: - eliminate tons of overhead - save 2-4 months of wasted dev time - improve collaboration - improve product effectivness That‘s the exact result of a client of mine.

I've been coaching senior leaders for more than 15 years now. But past 2 years entered completely new terrain: Started coaching them for their own personal brand. - strong presence on social - signature methods for change & innovation - becoming known for results, not titles

The next bad news about the energy crisis (thx Donald and Bibi for this) is just around the corner. Guess where AI data centers get their energy from. And they‘re very hungry. Investments are huge. ROI vague. The burst of the AI bubble closer now?!

For 20 years, we have heard people preaching why the difference between "complex" and "complicated" is so important. They tell managers and organizations how and what to change. Yet, the result is average to low. While the difference matters, the preaching failed completely.

It would be great if @stripe would get replaced by Wise by most apps. Faster cash and way less fees!
