I don’t think that SNL joke was anti Semitic. That was a joke about the Israeli government’s treatment of non-Jews. It was not a joke about the Jewish people. I think a government is a legitimate target for satire or comedy.

I think @AppleSupport might have done a bait-and-switch on me. I sent in a perfectly fine, working iPhone to replace the battery and they told me it has an issue with the logic board and the repair would be 4X the cost of battery replacement. Seems fishy.

It is devastating to watch people die when those deaths were avoidable and it's even more devastating when you watch them die the same way, time after time after time. It's devastating that basic common sense and decency has been politicized.

Emojiland, the Musical is much better than it has any right to be given its subject matter. It’s a silly and fun romp in the style of Bat Boy or The Toxic Avenger. It needs to be a half hour shorter, I think 1 role was miscast and the choreography was “eh”, but a fun show.

When I buy tix to a show, I get put on mailing lists. I called @BofA_Help and asked them not to give my address when I charge for tix. They said “there’s nothing we can do. That’s just the way it is.” Really?

I highly recommend Hadestown. It reminds me a bit of The Gospel at Colonus, but even cooler: A soul/folk ceremony as much as a play that feels both timeless and very timely. How did they do that?

I just had a Beyond Meat sausage and it’s good, but I didn’t think it was any better than Field Roast, and it’s twice the price.

I HIGHLY recommend Mrs Murry’s Menagerie at the Barrow St Theatre. A fantastic example of saying a lot with a little. Acting, great. Design, great. Staging, a little too sedentary but I quibble. Go see it.

I recently made black bean soup and roasted cauliflower soup, both with coconut milk rather than milk or cream. I think it is a fantastic substitution, but you need to use good coconut milk. America’s test kitchen says Aroy-D wins.
