I think the barometer for Tonali's ability should be judged more by City, Utd and Arsenal all wanting him. Rather than a few bitter Newcastle fans telling themselves he's average and not worth the money.
Under Levy, spurs never do that Van Hecke deal. He'd have bit £15m/£20m and then decided to wait until January and try again. This shows a very different Tottenham approach
Still of the view a Premier league loan is the best option for Vuskovic. Won't be any shortage of takers you would think. Full season of experience and then next summer he replaces Danso
It's that time of year again when Villa and Newcastle fans need to be educated that league table finishing position isn't a barometer for revenue generation.
Spurs can spend £350m this summer (before sales) and still not have an issue. Cashflow needs addressing but loads of headroom. De Zerbi isn’t here to finish mid table next season.
Tonali would be an excellent signing. The data kids won't get why but I think De Zerbi knows football better than them. We're signing experience and quality.
Selling Vuskovic feels a stupid decision, if it were to happen. Loan to Brighton makes sense but if he's as good as some suggest, £35m is ridiculous, let alone even selling him
A year on from the appointment of Frank, it still amazes me how bad he actually was. I genuinely thought he'd be a safe pair of hands after an awful league campaign under Ange. Was never going to be a world beater but I thought he'd be safe and boring, not the disaster it was
