Open Science and Open Education at TU Delft. Researcher, public speaker & gamification enthousiast. I support the TU Delft vision, but my opinions are my own
Very proud and happy that the work of our excellent lecturers has resulted in this milestone. But we are certainly not done here! More exciting things are on the way, with a new kind of interactive open textbook. Look for us in the near future! #openeducation#opentextbook
Exciting news! We've hit a major milestone and have officially published 50 books & textbooks!

Special thanks to @purpel@michieldejo@JustdeLeeuwe @fredbelliard for their hard work and dedication.

Wow this is huge news! I remember dragging the 6th edition all over campus during my Chemistry bachelor's. where did the time go...
But more importantly, this is arguably one the best known Chemistry textbooks in English higher education. A huge deal #opentextbook#openeducation
A popular chemistry book's jump from a publishing titan to an OER pioneer could be pivotal for the open access movement. For the author, it's also a fitting tribute to his late son. #HigherEd#AcademicTwitterbit.ly/3dqTjXn

"What surprises me is that even though all this content that teachers produce is valuable, it typically does not leave the (digital) classroom environment." @michieldejo on the benefits and importance of #OER and open textbooks, on our blog🔖

When I was studying, I invented stories behind textbook problems to help my motivation by creating a purpose for solving them. Dug up that old creativity and made a story behind a problem for my @AETUDelft statics course. Education should be fun! youtu.be/1_1jeiT6HoE
In these times where all of us teachers are struggling to produce content to make all of our course work online, it boggles my mind with how much work we must all be duplicating. I think we need a peer review and dissemination means for learning material just like research.
