UFC fighter Bryce Mitchell criticizes Trump's White House UFC fight: Our government is desecrating its role in society by hosting sporting events. Our tax dollars and resources are funding this operation. The government is supposed to protect us, not entertain us.

I just don't see how Paxton exhibits a moral compass at all. The Big 12 is also a private entity. They can do what they want with their own organization. They can hand out whatever punishments align with their bylaws. nbcsports.com/nfl/profootbal…

Thousands of missionaries have similar stories. It happened to me on a regular basis in Mongolia. What was most heartbreaking is when they turned their sights on the young men & women (16 year olds!) that sometimes accompanied us to lessons, threatening violence or even rape.
I just thought about my little brother and I got emotional. If you act like this you’re not a real man.

It's so hard to watch a young person's spirit shatter in front of you. It takes miracles to put it back together. Ironically, some of the deepest spiritual experiences of my life happened after moments just like those in this video.

The mean salary for RNs in 2024 was $94,480 and the top 10 percent earned well over $100,000. BLS numbers. What do you think an appropriate salary would be?

This week, someone was arrested for threatening our LDS chapel in Texas. 6 months ago someone burned a Michigan chapel to the ground. The "Ackshully, MorMonS arEn'T chriSTiaNs" crowd doesn't 'ackshully' care about theology. It's a shortcut for sociopolitical messaging.
To traditional Christians, “Mormons aren’t Christian” is predominantly a theological issue. To Latter-day Saints, it’s a theological issue, yes, but also historical and even existential. 👇

It does seem that the LDS are being unfairly singled out here. If the essential criterion for Christianity is Trinitarian theology, why do the Jehovah’s Witnesses, Christian Scientists, Oneness Pentecostals, and even Quakers (in some instances) get a pass here?

More than 18 people have died in ICE custody in 2026 so far. They should still be alive. They needlessly lost their lives. Americans are full of righteous anger about it. They died in the custody of the agency directly reporting to Vance's daddy and his hand picked loyalists.
This is the dumbest tweet ever written by an American, an astonishing achievement given the depth of competition for that accolade. It's hard to know where to even start. I'll go from the top and try wade through it, to arrive at where the focus should already be. /1

Trump is gonna get booed so hard at MSG it might break the fountain of the stadium.
Stephen A. Smith begs Donald Trump to stay away from Madison Square Garden for Game 3 of the NBA Finals: “He’s coming to Game three of the Finals, and I don’t want him there. It has nothing to do with politics, policy, or anything like that. It has everything to do with him disrupting and contributing at the same time to the chaos that’s going to be existing at Madison Square Garden. If it were Barack Obama coming to the Garden, I would say, ‘Stay home.’ Stay at the White House… I have been covering sports for over 30 years. And I’m telling you right now, come Monday, for Game 3 of the NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden, I expect to see an environment I have never seen in my entire career covering sports."

Has the vibecession come for the job counts too?
I wouldn't put much stock on one noisy chart, but... There may be a divergence brewing between job availability and worker perception of job availability. Job openings (yellow line) have been rising all year. The QUITS rate is back at post-COVID lows.

The US population doubled from 76 million in 1900 to 151 million in 1950. And yet, housing was abundant and affordable in 1950 in the US. Why?
The reason you can’t afford a house, can’t find a doctor, can’t send your kids to a decent school, and can’t walk home safely at night is simple: your leaders imported tens of millions of people who hate you.

The SHED always wins.
The funny thing is people rate their own economic circumstances far more favorably now than they did during the Great Recession. This lines up with the data. It's the external economy that rates poorly. Explanations that rely on people not doing well individually don't fit.

You know the NBA is in trouble when the play by play team has to painstakingly explain why it's *technically* not against the rules for SGA to completely ruin the game with foul baiting and flopping.

Worth noting that the current datacenter backlash is what 40 years of anti-nuclear activism looks like in the present tense. The same movement that killed clean baseload is now mad that compute is straining the grid. Colossal self-own.
Climate activists have spent decades shutting down nuclear, blocking clean energy transmission, and trying to ban research on cooling the planet... but the movement that wins the next century will be led by the people doing the work, not those protesting it. New essay out today👇
