BREAKING: the White Cliffs of Dover have been illuminated with the UK 'warming stripes' for #ShowYourStripes day!

It's #CleanAirDay today and here at @MicroscopeHomes we are counting airborne microfibres sampled by our #citizenscientists.
Microfibres and microplastics from textiles are an important, but poorly understood, type of indoor air pollution.

While our #citizenscientists are busy collecting airborne #microplastics in their homes we have been studying the samples from the pilot...
We place different coloured sheets under the sample dish to see if the colour affects how many fibres we can see with our #microscope.
