Homelessness Minister @rushanaraali called the figures shocking, and said the government were "reversing the worst housing crisis in living history".

She isn't the only one. New government data shows 4,300 young care leavers faced homelessness in 2023-24. That's up 54% from 2018-19, a larger relative rise than seen by all young people.
The charity @Become1992 are calling for change.
Zoe was 16 when she entered the care system. She was moved five times and tells us it left with "this fear of owning too much stuff in case I need to move". Now 21, she doesn't have her own home, and is waiting for suitable social housing. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cj4d…
